I had the pleasure of meeting the pine grosbeak a few weeks ago. What a wonderful bird. Lovely plumage and very friendly I managed to get within one and a half meter without scaring it. However I needed to move back to get focus and the complete bird in the picture. Here in Sweden this bird is often referred to as Numb-nuts or in Swedish "dumsnut" since it is so unafraid.
