You do not always have to be on a jungle expedition or safari in Africa to be able to capture exiting pictures. Sometimes there are wildlife moments happening on your door step or just around the corner from where you live. These pictures below are taken on the way back after dropping of my little boy at the kindergarden. The Blackbirds had decided to build thier nest less than one and a half meter up in a tree just besides a busy walkway, much apriciated by the the photographer. Therefore the birds were not affected by my presens. However I used my longest lens and stayed on a reasonable distance to minimize any disturbance.

The male Blackbird arrives home with food to the hungry chicks. The parents dropped of food every 10-15 minutes witch gave me quite some possibillities to capture them arriving with food, but I only got a handful pictures that was worth keeping. The birds are quick and the timing critical. The nest had three possible entrences, the male nearly always took the entrance witch you see on the picture above meanwhile the female used the back entrance (not as photogenic). That is the reason why I only show you pictures of the male at the nest.
