We did manage to see lions a few times in Masai Mara, however no big prides. The most we saw at one time were three lions. One day we encounter a lioness just lying on the side of the road, resting we stayed for ten-fifteen minutes waiting for her to wake up and walk away. Eventually she turned over on her back with the paws in the air just like an ordinary cat and continued to rest. It was clear that she had no interest or intention to move.
