I decided to show yet some more pictures from my trip to Kenya. There is just so many wonderful memories and so many pictures to process. Today’s pictures are from the David Sheldrick Wildlife trust in Nairobi where they take care of young elephants that have had a rough start in life. Many of them have had their mother killed by poachers and some have had other misfortunes. The young elephants stay in their care for up to six years before released into the wild again. Over the years the trust has fostered and released over 150 elephants.

One hour each day they open up the orphanages to visitors and then they show and feed the young elephants meanwhile they tell each individuals story, how long they been at the orphanages, what happened to them in the wild (before they ended up being orphanage). It is amazing what love and dedication the care takers show.
